Stanley B. KrugerThe Delaware Valley PCA is pleased to announce the establishment of the Stanley B. Kruger Library Fund at WheatonArts to honor the memory of our stalwart past president, Stanley B. Kruger (1997- 2009). The principal and income of the fund will be available for the purchase of books and related research materials for the museum library.

Those who encountered Stanley quickly became aware of his deep love for scholarly research and writing. A library fund benefiting WheatonArts is a befitting and proper tribute to a man who loved to gather knowledge about the glass arts. Despite the depth and breadth of his knowledge, Stanley never considered him self an expert, instead relishing the opportunity to seek out and confer with those experts in PCA. Above all other intellectual endeavors Stanley loved writing, frequently contributing articles for the PCA Bulletin and elsewhere. His voice is forever memorialized in his beloved Bulletins archives. Stanley often found his subject matter and documentation at the Museum of American Glass at WheatonArts. While his spirit will always wander the grounds of WheatonArts, this fund will permanently enshrine his presence at the place where he always felt at home. Stanley regarded the Wheaton staff as family.

2012 marked the chapter’s 20th Anniversary and another year of co-sponsoring Paperweight Fest. The club’s ten percent (10%) share of the profits from Paperweight Fest 2012 was allocated to this fund.

Chapters and individuals are encouraged to participate in this worthy endeavor. The tax-deductible donations will be sent directly to
